Experience: Dave Ottley is an American born translator/interpreter living in Tokyo, Japan who has been translating freelance since 2007. He has lived in Nagasaki, Japan for a year and Tokyo, Japan since 2009. As of 2010 he is enrolled in Waseda University’s intellectual property law master’s course. Among the clients he has worked for are Japan Vilene, San M Packaging, and Toyota Motors. He is currently in the process of sitting for the American Translators Association legal translator certification exam.
