translation/localization since 1989 – more than 20 years of practice. Specialized in English and Hebrew.
Native command of both languages, with extensive background in computing, including programming,
technical writing, project coordination and management, and consulting.
Translation experience includes more than 20 published books about computer-related issues, from how-to
descriptions of hardware and software use through hard disk and network background books for professionals,
localizing software on platforms ranging from mainframes through PCs and transaction terminals, manuals and
product specifications, and a variety of legal material. Interpretation experience includes depositions regarding
issues of intellectual property, focus groups for market surveys. Memberships: ATA since 1999, NOTIS &
WITS since 2001, NAJIT since 2007. Washington State Registered Court Interpreter certification in 2008.
Writing experience includes articles in English and Hebrew touching on many aspects of computing,
localization, and computerized multimedia art; in the mid-eighties, two how-to manuals for dogs (in Hebrew).
Recent articles have appeared in MultiLingual Computing, World Trade Magazine, the Peninsula Daily News,
Family Choice and the ATA Chronicle.
