1-Year Certificate in Translation and Interpretation
1-year Certificate Program
L.A. Institute of Transaltion and Interpretation is approved
by the State Government to provide 1-year Certificate Program
in Translation and Interpretation. We offer programs in Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, Arabic, Armenian and Japanese.
The student takes 2 courses per 10-week quarter, for the total
of 8 courses in 4 quarters a year.

Upon completion, a Certificate in Translation and Interpretation is awarded.
Our lecturers are all State of California certified interpreters.
The courses are designed to prepare the students to pass the
test to become court certified by the State of California.

| Non-degree One-Year Certificate Program in Translation and Interpretation: The program is designed to prepare the student for court, administrative hearing, and medical interpreter certification test held by the State government. Certificates of completion will be given to those who fully completed the 24-hour program in Court, Administrative Hearing, and Medical Interpretation programs. Foreign students are required to spend 6 hours in Lab practice and 6 hours in guided self study on campus. 1st Quarter (September-November) CT101. Consecutive Interpretation I CT105.
